Indecision
(Indécision)...
One thing I love about French.
As an English speaker, sometimes it’s not so hard to understand. (See the headline and subtitle above, for a perfect example.)
Of course, sometimes I have no idea (aucune idée) what I’m reading in French. Even in children’s books. (Cue humbling moment.)
This morning, whether in French or English, I understand indecision.
Should I brave the snow again and do a photo shoot with my teacup and the tiny pinecones that are swinging from the hemlocks? Should I stay inside where the air is warm but the wonders of nature are absent? The house is too cozy. Comfort wins the day.
But indecision doesn’t go away.
The more I photograph my little M & C France teacup with its delicate forget-me-nots, the less I’m able to choose what to share with you.
Ah, indécision.
So here we are with our thé phénix renaissant (rising phoenix tea), having a quiet morning with several photographs, one of which I was hoping would show you the nuance of the golden handle-twist.
Alas. (Hélas.)
You would need to come here and be with me to really see this tiny artistic detail—one that has caught me, enamored me, spoken to me of life’s small beauties and winding realities.
What nuance is speaking to you today? What sweet indecision? Or, what winding reality?
(translation: as always, L.L. :)

such a pretty little cup - love that shade of blue. The second from the bottom might be calling to me most today, or the upside down - indecision, indeed
Quelle belle tasse!
