Saturday Cup
(tasse du samedi)...
I hadn’t meant to post today.
But then there was my Saturday (samedi) cup. And I thought you might like to know I count my days by particular cups.
This one is Saturday’s.
Wednesday is wildcard day, which introduces small change—which cup, which cup? one never knows.
But all the other days are marked by teacups I’ve come to rely upon to remind me just what day I’m in.
My Saturday cup is a Wedgwood given to me by ma maman (my mom). I only noticed today that its name is Oberon. She couldn’t have known I’d write a series of Titania and Oberon poems. She only knew that I love teacups, a love she’d given me.
I miss my mom. It soothes me that her love lives on in my Saturday Oberon.
